You are invited to bid on a General Contract to repair the fire alarm at Nutt Hall on the campus of Arkansas Tech University, Russellville, Arkansas, hereinafter termed Owner. The bid shall be on a lump sum basis.
The Owner will receive bids until Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. local time. Bids may be mailed or delivered to the ATU Procurement Office, 203 West O Street, Suite 101, Russellville, AR 72801. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the time and date mentioned. Interested parties are invited to attend.
There will not be a pre-bid walk thru. Contractors may contact the engineer if they would like to schedule visit the site.
Contractors must be certified by Siemens to program and work on the existing Siemens FireFinder XLS system.
Obtaining contract documents through any source other than the Design Professional listed above or their representative(s) is not advisable due to the risks of receiving incomplete or inaccurate information. Contract documents obtained through the Design Professional or their representative(s) are considered the official version and take precedence should any discrepancies occur. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders are hereby notified that any bidder who desires to enter into Contract for this work must comply with disclosure requirements pursuant to Governor Executive Order 98-04. The Owner cannot enter into any contract which does not obligate the contractor to require the submission of Disclosure forms for subcontractors exceeding $25,000.
The University reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive formalities.
Past Performance. In accordance with provisions of State Procurement Law, specifically OSP Rule R5:19-11-230(b)(1), a Prospective Contractor's past performance with the State and/or University may be used to determine if the Prospective Contractor is “responsible”. Proposals submitted by Prospective Contractors determined to be non-responsible will be disqualified.
